2012 Monterey Historics

I'm going, but I'll probably be going to the Pre-Historics weekend (Aug 11) rather then the official weekend.  It becomes kind of a family affair in my extended family and which weekend we go to (either the pre's or the official) is determined by which weekend is available to everyone.

I should have gone last year?  I think the marque was Porsche.........or was that the year before?  I get real dreamy when I think of long tail 917's..........

I reckon I am just to lazy to drive up.

Here's a couple photos from 2010 with a 917K and a Lotus 47 trailing far behind in the same race.  Sorry this wasn't a good location for picture taking (like beneath the Cork Screw) but I'd never sat at the start/finish line before.

Thanks for the juicy photo's.  We here in San Diego have Historic Races on Coronado Island in a couple of months but not much can beat Monterey.  Love the corkscrew.  I will take pix this year and post them here, and for those that attend cork screw city, I will expect some fancy photos..........
