I stripped the seats, there was a lot of corroded metal on the lower parts.I then got them blasted so i could see what was needed,I cut all the rot out and welded in new panels then powder coated. The seat springs and rubber panel was rotten so i just welded in a panel with no rubber. The foam was very good but i had to make a new piece on the drivers seat which had worn over the years with drivers getting in and out.We covered the foam with  Dacron spray glued on to protect it,We also glued some thick material on the edges of the metal frames  to protect the seat covers. The covers can be stapled on to the wood backs but the 4 long side covers have to be glued on to the metal frames. We used Evo Stick which is a contact glue.  Stuart.......

Originals were vacuum formed, the era’s carbon fiber weight saving equivalent.  Milk bottle technology, Colin’s build lightness mantra in full swing.
Yes, it's work...   No, I don't mind it.
