manifold input hose, where does it go? s2 1969

Folks,  I would assume the valve cover hose goes to bottom of air cleaner(do not have yet),  IF so,  where would the open hole under the carb, on the spacer go? the car was
a basket case with many missing parts,  and this is why I am asking,  the open port looks like it needs a hose  1/4 inch but do not know where to plug other end of hose.
this is a stock renault engine  1.6.  that I have put a solex carb on,   weber was scrap and full of water. (like the engine was)..

You may have to modify your set-up depending on what you are missing.

Well, I do not have the air filter, so I guess one hose from valve cover goes to side, and hose from bottom goes to a PVC valve then to top of air cleaner (lid)??
