New Seats
« on: Sunday,March 14, 2021, 12:18:09 AM »
I have seriously considered making new seats out of graphite since fabricating composite aircraft parts is what I used to do for a living but I don't have any drawings of the seat frame or know where I could find them.  Are there any sources available?

If you're willing to take measurements of actual seats, I have a pair of Kirkey aluminum seats you can use for reference.. I'm down in the north San Diego county area which is a two hour drive from Palmdale

Drawings are available on the groups.io site

https://groups.io/g/LotusEuropa/filessearch?o=0&q=seat+frame

If you don't have access then join the email group!

I tried to get the drawing out of "groups" but was not successful.  Is there a three view drawing that is a PDF?

It's a 3DM file from Rhino.  I think you need to create an account on groups.io and then apply for membership of the Lotus Europa group.  I don't recall this being difficult, but you may have to wait for your membership to be approved.  It is definitely worth the trouble, as there is a lot of useful information available once you have access.
