I bought new elastic. Mine is about 18 months old and has held up well. I got distracted yesterday and started doing the carpeting in my S2 but hopefully the sewing will happen. I'll post a photo when I'm done.

I finally got around to removing close to 18 inches from my Crappy Tire (Canadian Tire) cover. Once the doors are back on it will fit reasonably well.

An interesting read. I use my cover primarily indoors in a well ventilated garage, outdoors if it's dry.
