Carb for a 1645cc 843 Renault Fuego engine
« on: Thursday,March 26, 2020, 11:21:01 AM »
Dear All,  Any advice on what would be a cost effective single carb and inlet manifold solution for a 1645 Renault Fuego engine fitted in a S2 Europa?  And the same question for an Exhaust system?
Thank you, Karl

Use an intake manifold from a single, 2 barrel, downdraft carbed engine and fit a 32/36 DGV carb.  Exhaust manifolds are trickier.  The stock, non-turbo manifold is nice but it won't clear the chassis.  I remember seeing someone fit a turbo manifold without the turbo and monted the exhaust to that.  Looked good and didn't have to cut the chassis.

Excellent, thanks.  Very helpful as I needed to know how significant an issue it was.  I can do a bit of homework now.
