TC water pump question
« on: Sunday,February 09, 2020, 08:23:15 AM »
Can a failing water pump allow coolant into the engine? I have just started my “rebuilt” engine and within about 15 minutes running there is emulsion in the oil, and quite a lot. Any thoughts welcome.

Unfortunately you are going to have to pull the head and sump to get the front cover off.  It can be done in situ but it isn't fun.  Beats having to pull the engine though.

Thanks, job underway, pretty sure it’s the water pump seal given the amount of coolant in the oil
