Exterior Mirrors
« on: Wednesday,December 25, 2019, 10:03:28 PM »
I'm planning on replacing my Europa mirrors with bullet styles of some shape. Does anyone recognize these?

They were the preferred mirror of choice at Banks, unpainted black plastic as standard.

Hopefully this link will work, different source but you can get the make and model from it;

You can buy those new with flat or convex mirrors.  I would think that convex mirrors would be the best choice, but then nobody specifies how convex their mirrors are so how are you supposed to know?

I was looking on either Bean or rd enterprise's site for the Sebring mirrors.  It is suggested flat glass on the driver's side and convex on the passenger's side.

I have them both with flat glass, as you can see they hinge up and down and also the glass is adjustable. If fixed in the right place on the door they offer a decent view tbh - tested both on the racetrack (first lap you need eyes in all directions which tests mirrors pretty well!) and also on the road, no issues to report other than occasionally you have to nip the bolt that holds the baseplate to the main body to stop them drooping - but this, I think, is mainly down to lifting them up when the car is in the garage to stop anyone catching them as they walk past. Have been fitted to my car for very nearly 20 years now.

I run convex on both sides and I have zero blind spots.  As an approaching vehicle leaves the side mirror, I can see it beside me.  This is absolutely invaluable in traffic.
