That seems like a lot for a Europa as rough as that with no engine!

He’s pretty much saying you will need a new chassis. From my perspective I would only consider this car (for half the price) if you needed body panels. Otherwise way to much for a full restore and finding a TC engine. It needs everything.........

Open and honest assessment.  Reasonable price if it had a rebuildable TC engine.  Bit rich otherwise.

Worth about $3,000 US tops, in my mind.

Proper 1558cc Europa engines with Europa heads and water pumps are rare.

 Seems a bit high but if someone local wanted one without any shipping hassle he might get it. I met the gentleman a couple of years ago when I bought a lotus components front spoiler from him. He brought the yellow car over from England and has been a longtime Europa owner. I did tell him about the forum here but he never chose to join.
