I listened to a podcast recently where 'god' (AKA Gordon Murray) listed his recently acquired TC as surprisingly good, but not quite as good as an Elan.
Always enjoy his talks as he is an excellent communicator on technical matters with a wealth of stories to draw on. Plus when people used to question my daily drive (Smart Roadster) I could point in his direction and say 'he has one'.
An old workmate went to school with him in SA and told me the story about Gordon drawing a 3 seater sports car (that became the Mclaren F1) in class. This was told to me years before he even worked for Mclaren.
