I have 2 Twink fuel tanks. They don't fit without modifications to the fiberglass into an S2 body. But it is possible with some cutting/reglassing at the rear area of the fuel tank nook.

I will look in to that before I do things that i will regret.
But that is why I raised the question on this great forum.
As I mentioned at the moment there are two holes in the bottom for tank removal, so it should be easy to try for fitment.
When it turns out to be a big problem, I can go for the normal left side.

One of the companies offering the extra tank as an upgrade was Else. When I restored mine it looked to me that they had bought a LH tank from Lotus and adapted it to fit.  I had a pair made by Banks and they fitted perfectly. Don’t forget that the cut away under the tank also aids air flow into the engine bay.  Cooling is already an issue in these cars  and Im not sure it’s a good idea to cover it.

As for mileage, the single tank is good for over 400 highway km with an original engine.
