Need Left & Right Engine bay “Tie Mounting Brackets”
« on: Saturday,May 18, 2019, 09:39:50 PM »
yes, that is what they are called in the parts manual “Tie. Mounting”.  The metal rods that bolt to the body in the engine bay.  I need both left and right side.  The bolts on mine snapped off (all 4 on each plate) and I thought I could just grind off the bolts (they are welded in) and install new ones. More difficult than I need it to be.

Anyone have a pair for sale that the bolts are intact or have the bolts removed?

It is very easy to drill through from the bolt side, and just replace the broken stud with a 1/4" UNF bolt.

Been there, done that.

I had thought of that but after drilling, grinding and rewelding new bolts it is cheaper to acquire a used pair in good condition. Was only going to go that route if I couldn’t find a pair. I lucked out.
