Removing Renault water pump pulley flange

In order to remove the water pump pulley you will need a press (12T minimum) and thick pieces of steel plate.

First measure everything.  I wrote it all down on the rear cover plate:

Next grind down your steel plates to fit:

So they just fit in this space to support the pulley flange:

Now it is a simple matter to push the flange off:

IMPORTANT

You have to support the rear of the water pump shaft to press the flange back on:

The shaft has a turquoise dot on it.

DO NOT PRESS AGAINST THE IMPELLER !!!
