I believe you can get small bottles of the Loktite from r.d. They may have the primer, too. I don't remember using the primer.

Loctite 635 is the green compound. I do use that for maximum bonding and high temperature since I track my Europa running on slicks and disc brakes. Loctite 272 (red) is probably adequate for street use, costs less, and can be bought at auto parts stores. You don't need the primer. Just clean all parts well.

When Dave Bean was building my motor, he suggested I use red Loktite to build my hubs. I understand that that the green 635 is specifically for filling the voids between things like splines and such rather than just be a "glue." They both require heat to disassemble the parts. I think I'd use 635 regardless of the expected driving.

I believe there is a Loktite cleaner but I've always just used lacquer thinner.

635 is slow set so it gives you time to carefully assemble everything.  I think that is a very important feature.

I couldn't find 635 locally so I bought my small bottle from RD.  Make sure you clean the splines on both the axle shaft and the inside of the hub as there will be residual left over loctite bedded in between the splines and the new Loctite won't adhere as well.
