I saw this today.  The body and interior looks pretty good.  Sadly no engine or trans.  6k is pretty high for a car without an engine or trans but if you had those parts and needed a car...

I understand that Richard said his Smart Europa was his favorite of all the Europas he's built.

... but not the turbo-diesel engine.  It only has 41 hp.  Fantastic economy but very slow acceleration.  The 1.0L turbo engines are a bit more than twice the power.

We have a 2006 CDi and love it.  Once had to dash to a city three hours away and was late.  Kept it pegged and ran between 80 to 85 mph all while getting 85 mpg (imperial)!  We have just added to the fleet a new Smart ED (fully electric).  It's direct drive and goes like bat of h*ll up to 30 mph/50 kph.  Seriously, not much could touch it off the line.  Slows dramatically thereafter to a 0-100 kph/60 mph of 11 seconds.
