Wanted: Camshaft and associated pulley for 821 Renault
« on: Monday,March 20, 2017, 10:13:58 AM »
I'm rebuilding a 1565cc Renault for my latest Europa. The PO was a ham-fisted moron and among many atrocities, managed to break off one of the pins that locates the pulley, but just ran it that way. The pulley is ruined and the remaining pin cracked the end of the shaft. Any help would be appreciated! I'm in So. Cal.

I have a cam, sprocket and pulley. $200 plus shipping from 98296. Email for pics, as the files are too large to upload here.

1565 wedge head? Or, 1565 cross-flow?  The camshafts are different.

Just want to make sure the seller knew which was which.  Though an 821 is a wedge head engine, it is possible to make a cross-flow out of one.  50 years on and who knows what might have been done or not.

Hey everybody, thanks for the responses. Motor is a stock S2 821, but the car is a 1968 S1b.

I'm in the Long Beach area. Tom,  I'll try dropping you a PM.

Dan, let me see what I can do locally.

JB, if I knew how to upload pics......
