WTB Lotus Europa S1
« on: Thursday,February 16, 2017, 11:43:44 AM »
Hi
Anyone have or know of an S1 for sale don't mind a project although would want it pretty much complete as we all know how difficult it's getting sourcing some parts.  I'm in the UK but know it's highly unlikely I'll find one here so happy to ship one back from the States etc....
Anything considered or any tip offs to where one may be hiding! Please help

Jerry

I don't know if you have seen this on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-1974-Lotus-Europas-cars-/262817365064?hash=item3d3122bc48:g:0JwAAOSw5cNYdlwH&vxp=mtr

Also, try searching http://www.adhuntr.com/ It searches all of Craigslist in the US. It's how I found mine.

Hi Jerry,

I have just repatriated an S1a from the US earlier this year.
There were no S1 cars available in the UK or europe when I was looking late last year so I had to search wider!
It wasn't cheap to import and it also takes a while but worthwhile as the car is original and only missing a couple of parts of trim.
The company who organised the shipping took care of the import documentation including HMRC/NOVA etc

regards,

Mark

I've just checked out that eBay ad seems the guys parting the car out now seems a shame as although a lot of work for a very brace restorer it's got a lot of hard to find parts with it.

Where did you ship your car from? Obviously it depends what State you bought the car from but I bought a car in from Bayonne a couple of years ago and found that to be quite reasonable as the company put a floor in a 40' container so get 4 cars in lowering the cost considerably. I notice your in the south west I'm in Bristol where are you?
