Trimming the luggage bay.

My luggage bay had been lined with horrible brown nylon fabric at some point.  It was ripped and tatty when I bought the project and even after I removed it all the finished surface was very uneven and tatty.  So I took it to my friendly re trimmer and he lined the sides with basket weave which hides the uneven surface. He then made me a removable padded base and added yellow piping to match the paint.

From the looks of the cover, it didn't seem that it would accommodate the standard prop rod. That's why I asked. r.d. enterprises sells a kit or you can use these plans (http://lotus-europa.com/manuals/misc/body/struts/hoodproject.html). If you or a buddy can weld, it should be an easy project and a lot cheaper than r.d.'s kit.

Ah right I see thanks.  Somewhere at the bottom of my massive pile of parts is a recently powder coated prop and a new prop clip. So I will be re fitting that in a few months.
