Nice pictures! You seem to have pushed the right buttons and turned the right wheels!

Very nice. I really like that first shot. Great composition, just a touch more exposure and your perfect. What camera did you get?
The Twin Cam plays the symphony whilst my right foot conducts the orchestra. At 3800 rpm the Mad Pipe Organ joins in.

I like the composition of the first shot as well, 2 minutes in photoshop and it'll be one to frame !

Modern digital cameras always stun me with what they'll do, I have a cheap one in the workshop and even that has more menu options than I could ever think up. Spend a few quid and even the bottom of the range models are capable of producing far better shots than I ever got with 35mm.

Looks like the new camera did a great job taking pictures.

Evening all, They are the first pictures that I took. I swore I would never buy a digital camera. I still use my Olympus OM2. Any way I bought a Nikon D750. The instruction book runs to over 400 pages. As for photoshop I need to learn about them. I have a Nikon system that came with the camera its for jpeg and one part for Raw.  Dear me my brain is fried
cheers all

Yep, I was a died-in-the-wool 35mm guy as well and then what converted me was Canon bringing out a digital version of their Ixus camera, which I really liked as a pocket camera. After a few months I got one (cutting edge stuff at 2mp !!!) and basically that was it.

Your D750 is a serious bit of kit and way above my level. Once you've become used to it and being able to use Photoshop effectively (other software is available  :)  ) to tweak the shots you'll be getting results that are simply not possible with 35mm. We'll be expecting great shots of the car from now on !

How typical is this. There was no one else around. There are 4 substantial parking areas, every one empty. The weather was not favorable. Then along comes one car and where does it park? you've guessed it. I asked her if she would mind moving her car a few bays down, wrong question. Its ok I'm patient

 :)

I'm glad it's not just me then ! It never ceases to amaze me how in an empty car park and parked at the far end with the longest walking distance, someone will decide to park alongside us.  It must be a pack mentality or perhaps we just both like exercise ?

I'd have just moved two bays away and set up the shot. And no doubt been very "Victor Meldrew-ish" about the deal.  (For the US contingent, VM is an easily irritated old guy in the comedy series "One Foot in the Grave". As I get older I'm finding more to identify with...... )

Brian

ps - if your Nikon came without photo software I've been using Adobe for some years now. I use their "Elements" double package of Photoshop (stills) and Premier (Video) which you can normally pick up for around £50-£60 on offer just before the next version appears.  It's a learning curve all right, but plenty of tutorials out there.

Yah people are funny that way. Maybe she was afraid of the big empty parking lot, LOL.  It burns me up though, when individuals feel like they need to be so entitled instead of being a little bit courteous.
You got your shots in the end and they look good.
