Hi Karl,
I'm not close to there and don't know if anyone else is, but in the event that no-one can help here's one thing you could try with your seller.
A lot of courier services in the UK will allow you to book a collection from a private house (or business) and deliver to your destination, so in theory if the seller agrees you could arrange your own courier service to pick it up and send it to you. As far as the seller goes it's no more inconvenient than arranging a personal pick-up and I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work.
There are several courier services around, google will give you dozens. One I've seen in use is "Parcel to go", probably not the cheapest but it's an alternative idea.
https://www.parcel2go.com/I looked at similar things when I was looking for some wheels on Ebay and the sellers said "collect only". Which really is a bit silly because it means your potential market is a 10-20 mile radius rather than country wide but hey.... I just asked if they'd go along with it and if not, I didn't bid.
