Richard at Banks may be retiring soon
« on: Tuesday,June 30, 2015, 02:45:43 PM »
I just got an email from a friend who tried to call Richard at Banks yesterday. He wasn't able to get through to him but found out that Richard had hurt his leg pretty badly - bad enough that he had to go to the hospital because he couldn't walk. When my friend finally got in touch with him, he told my friend that he was thinking of retiring!

Well, I guess that shouldn't be a surprise. The other day I was wondering how old he must be since I first called him almost twenty years ago. If he does retire, hopefully, he'll get someone to do phone support in his absence.

It will be a sad day for a lot of us when he does retire but I know it will be a well deserved retirement!

I watched a video the other day that had him in it, made my day!
If he does retire I'll feel honored to have actually talked to him & bought parts from him...
Great "chap".  :)

I actually spoke to him yesterday 30th, about various bits on order he seemed ok on the phone and as helpful as usual.

Update on this one. He is definitely not wanting to retire, but his injury is frustrating him a lot at the moment. He's still at work and needs to rest his leg for it to recover. Just spoke to him today, lovely guy and am sure we all wish him a quick recovery.
