Colour schemes and liveries

Has any one ever seen a Europa with a Gulf Oil livery. Would it be sacrilege to re spray a 1970  car in this scheme, would I be shunned from every lotus car show ever? Just thinking out loud

My take on these things is that it's your car -  you drive it, you pay for it so you get to say what it looks like.

Mine's yellow and coincidentally that's what it was from new. If it had been red, white or blue....   well, it'd be yellow now because the first Europa I ever saw was yellow and to me, that's what they should be.    But the thing about paint is that it's temporary, if you don't like it you just put another colour on.

Good evening GMG, I would second Brian, its your car. It always was an attractive colour scheme to me. You will always get the 'knockers' I've found that the car attracts so much attention , so many people have never seen one before, so presented in a stunning colour scheme can only be positive. Anyway if you dont like it you can always rub it down again. I painted my Europa in the 70's in Sprint colours, Lagoon blue over white.  Go for it you know it makes sence

Oh that is pretty, i so love those colours.  I was thinking about a wrap rather than a full respray.
