WTB S2 original seat vinyl piece or whole seat
« on: Monday,September 24, 2012, 11:42:24 AM »
I am looking for a piece of vinyl for one of the seats of my '68 S2. It's the smooth black vinyl piece to the right of the thigh, so to speak. The best solution is if someone has the vinyl left from a retrim or so.

Try sending a PM to Joji (Grumblebuns), I think he is parting out an S2 or may have the pieces your looking for.

Thanks for the tip, LotusJoe, but Joji's vinyl turned out to be in a bad condition. So the search continues.

Does anyone have any ideas of where I can find a piece of vinyl? I might even be interested in buying a complete seat.

You might want to try an interior/convertible top/boat cover shop. They might not have a vinyl that matches but they might be able to fix up all four of your bolsters to look nice with the rest of the seats and match each other. Cloth is nice, too because it grips you.

Your local auto upholstery shop do this sort of work all the time.

If someone has an original seat in fairly good condition, I would be interested in buying that too.
