A while back I happened to find a (French language) website for a French company that specialises in gearbox parts including close ratio gearsets and upgraded parts for the Renault transaxles.
Now when I want to find it again, of course I can't....
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Not for me in this case, for an associate.

www.mecaparts.com (http://www.mecaparts.com) has some gearbox parts, not sure if you mean them?

Thanks but I don't think so Serge, was a specialist transmission business.
Might have to get my wife searching, she at least reads/writes French.

Quaife used to make a straight-cut, close ratio gear set for the 336 gearbox. While it's not listed in their current catalog, I'm sure they could still make one up. The part number is QKE1W.
PS: If you find another supplier, please post the link.

Quaife can make new gear sets, however they need at least 10 orders, and it isn't cheap!

Time ago they asked me 5 set for 850pounds each.
Shall we organize a buy Group this time??
The Tecnical Shop Happy in Japan are selling the same set (they said better quality) for 2500 euros.

Looks like "Happy" supplies helical gears: much, much quieter than straight cut gears.

Thanks all, will still have to go trolling history in my other PC for the French site, but some useful info from the Europa community :)
