I'm finally helping to dispose of the miscillaneous left over parts in my late friends garage. His last Europa was finally sold and all that my friends wife has left are parts from multi decaades of Europa ownership.
The first batch are three gas tanks, two for a S2 and one for a TC left/(LHD) drivers side. The condition of the fuel senders are unknown. The tanks have mostly surface rust although the S2 tanks appear to have a dab of JB Weld on a couple of spots. Asking $25/tank plus cost of packaging and shipping. It should be cheap for S2 owners wanting a right side tank to double fuel capacity.
(One S2 tank and the TC tank are sold)
Thee are also several sets of front and rear springs, some with shocks (one front has a Koni). They are free just pay shipping. If nobody wants them, they will be going to the metal recycling center for disposal
(One pair of front and rear springs are taken)

I am about to have the body off the red car, so a perfect time to add a second tank.
Any chance you have a fill neck too?
Since they share fuel level I am surprised they even have seperate senders.

Judging by the fuel outlet, it seems to me that both the S2 tanks are for the left hand side, no?
-
Richard, I'm going to try to have FedEx package the tank. It's not on the list of prohibited items but the person there may not agree. I'll let you know early next week. Be aware that these are the stock S2 tanks and will need to be modified to fit on the right side. My S2 has the right side tank and I'll look around to see what has to be modified and I also may have a spare filler neck.

I believe all of the Federal S2s had one tank on the left side; don't know about the rest of the world. Makes me wonder if a TC tank will fit for situations where a S2 tank can't be located.

I have L & R for my blue car.
I will look at them to see how practical it would be to convert.
Off the top of my head I think the taper front to back may be a problem?
-
After looking at my S2 with dual tanks, it appears that the same tank orientation is kept moving it to the right side. The only modifications I can see are to weld new mounting brackets to the other side of the tank along with cutting out the filler neck and rewelding it also on the other side.

I had to be out of town today.
I will get a good look at the difference in the morning.
-
Yes, I'm pretty sure the tanks are fundamentally a mirror image - at least that's how I made mine.
Apart from the mounting tags and the fuel inlet, there's also the outlet to consider.
I can't confirm but there may be sufficient room behind the tank to utilise the existing outlet and just route the fuel tubing there - ongoing access might be tricky, though.

I'm after an original tank for my S2, currently it's you a Spyder tank in it. Sadly I think the shipping cost to the UK might be prohibitive.
-
Yes most likely. Just shipping a stock airbox to the UK was around $300 USD last year. When I ship the tank to Richard, I'll check with FedEx on international shipping.
-
Having fabricated approximately 150 of these tanks over the years, I can tell you that the LH and RH S2 tanks are mirror images of each other. I also have an original OEM RH S2 tank, which is how I know.

What condition are those axles in/are they for sale?
I have a handful I've collected, all with some kind of defect, mostly marred u-joint surfaces. Seemingly from the factory the yolks aren't aligned quite correctly too.
-
Axles are FREE. Come and take the whole lot. The previous owner collected mostly TCs but some S2s so they are a mix, if there's any difference between the two. I'm in Fallbrook about 20 miles East of Oceanside,

I was able to use a reamer and clean up the u-joint bores on enough axles, but thanks! Will bug ya if I come across other suspension parts needs.
