Hi,
One of my '74 Twin Cam Zenith-Stromberg carbs is leaking gas as fast as it goes in. And the oil has been getting diluted with gas, so it's time to rebuild the carbs. I could probably do it myself but don't have much time.
I found a few places that will do it for about $750, Apple Hydraulics in New York and British Superior.
Any good feedback on one of these, or another rebuilder?
Thank you!

Joe Curto is another one.
But, you are looking at 3-4 month turn around at any of them last I checked. It's not that hard if you can devote 4 or 5 hours in toto.

Do you have a mechanical fuel pump still? The diaphragm can go bad and leak fuel into the crankcase …. A leaking carb shouldn’t do that.

Thanks for the info, I don't want to wait that long...

I do have a mechanical pump, but the gas is leaking out of the bottom of the front carb, quite a flow... and a dangerous place to leak.
I guess I can rebuild the pump too but I think the carbs are the main problem.
thanks!!!

I used Rhys Kent of Island Automotion Ltd. in Canada
islandautomotion@shaw.ca
He was very helpful with selecting the correct metering rods for my engine also.

Mike, are you sure you need to rebuild the carbs? It sounds to me like you might just need to clean one float valve.

The shop that repaired my trans and bell housing told me there was gas in the oil a few years back, before it was
leaking out, and that they wanted to send them out for a rebuild. But maybe it was from the fuel pump as turbofource mentioned. The car runs great, maybe I can see if I can fix it myself. I found records of the carbs being rebuilt about 6K miles but several years ago.
