Title: S2 Ammeter
Post by: richyb66 on Friday,November 29, 2024, 01:12:41 PM
If I understand correctly, the S2 ammeter should be a Lucas CZU60 36426. I've currently got a Smiths ammeter but want to revert to the correct one.

Does anyone have a picture of the Lucas item so I've got a better idea what I'm looking for.

  Hi Rich
Here is what it looks like . I may have one, I purchased a new one, hopefully it was a Lucas.
However I think I couldn’t find a lucas myself .

Thanks. This is what I have at the moment. The connections aren't correct for the wiring harness as there's only 2 spade terminals not 4.
The font matches the other Smiths gauges and I'm not sure how the OCD in me will cope with them not matching but I'm aiming for absolute originally. Fortunately I'm in the UK so the chances of getting the correct ammeter are probably quite good.

Here is how I surpassed that.

I had thought about doing bolt on connections but I like to make the job as hard as possible by keeping it factory.

You can do the piggy back connections .maybe shown a few pages later. It’s original, the schematic is CNN only a guide that is constantly being updated.  Notice the lack of black connectors on front turn signals whereas the back shows them .
