Title: Seat Foams (again)
Post by: berni29 on Tuesday,November 05, 2024, 02:22:35 PM
Hi There

I was going to add to an old post on this, but I got a message suggesting a new thread, so here goes.

I do not think there are any seat foam suppliers for the Europa TC in Europe, but are there any in the US?

Many thanks

Berni

  Bernie,
I cut my seat foam myself and shaped it I documented the plans on my thread. I’ll try to find the correct page. Also, there is a pfd on the fabric.

Hello There

Thank you! I must admit I did not search back too far because I saw a few threads that had asked pretty much the same question and had drawn a blank.

Its funny how I am unfazed by rebuilding the engine (for instance) but are just dreading the prospect of making the seat foams!

All the best

Berni

I made new side bolsters (is that a word) if you have one that is not completely gone for a pattern they can be carved out of a hunk of foam.
Electric carving knife and a sanding disk on a angle grinder big big mess but doable.

Talk to an auto seat upholsterer for advice on what foam to use.
