This car was recently auctioned off at BaT but the sale fell through because of the buyer. It's on auction again in pretty much the same condition - nice and very original.

Looks like a nice straight original car. I would be amazed if that was the original paint though.

I added to the comments on that auction with links to the two previous auctions around 9:30 p.m. EST. It was there when I signed off around 10:00 but this morning it’s gone. WTF? I thought it would be helpful to have people read the previous comments before asking the same questions over and over again. I guess I was wrong.
Perhaps we should link this to the earlier thread: https://www.lotuseuropa.org/LotusForum/index.php?topic=6673.0

I've had the same experience. I think the thing is that they make sure any links are appropriate (and may in fact discourage them). IIRC, one post I had with a link went away and came back later - presumably when they checked out the link.
I'd also recommend careful wording. I did a post and used the word "tranny" in it (obviously slang for "transmission" or "transaxle") but their post scanning program apparently doesn't know as much about cars as it does lunatic social movements.

UPDATE: Dreamer, if you are Duke_Audi, then your post was reinstated and is visible now.

Yep, dat be me! Thanks for the heads up.

The bid didn't meet the reserve. The bid was to $17,000. Pretty disappointing, I think. I thought it was a much nicer car than that!

Yeah, I thought so too. I do think the seller had optimistic expectations, though, claiming it is a $30,000 car. And as others pointed out, there were issues from the last auction that could have been sorted, which I think would have helped bring in higher bids.
