Congratulations!! You even went to the trouble of adapting a Lotus TC cam cover to your 4AGE!!!
-
What rear upright/stub axle combination are you running? Noticed what looks like CV joints outboard.
-
I love 4AGE's. Do you have any video?
-
Congratulations always a nice feeling having a running engine.

Very impressive - an incredible achievement !!!
Please post more pictures - how much did you have to modify the firewall by?
-
Is there a build thread for your car?

Hi
That looks great! Love to hear more. That cam cover looks like a custom item to me. Could be wrong!
All the best

Hello BDA,
this is not an original Bigvalve cover. It is a homemade cover for the 4AGE with the BigValve design.
Hello SwiftDB4,
it is a Spyder driveshaft at which I repaced the doughnuts by joints of a Volkswagen Caddy1 (14D) Diesel. One of the Caddy Driveshafts is a welded one which you can easy modify to weld to the Spyder driveshaft. The flange of this VW Transmission can be easy modified to weld to a shortend outer Spyder driveshaft.
Hello Dilkris,
I made a opening at the firewall for easy maintain the engine. But it would be possible to fit the engine without cutting the firewall. The 4AGE is a very short engine.
Hello TurboFource,
I started to write some posts about my car, but this was some time ago. If you search for "Bastard" and "4AAGE" you should find it. I was very buissy last year and could not write to much. But sometimes I will.
Hello berni29,
yes, the camcover is homemade

BigValve style valve cover for TOYOTA 4AGE 16V engine
alt pulley modification for TOYOTA 4AGE

Today it moved on his own power 1m forward and 1m backward in my garage. Would like to drive one time arround the block, but in Germany you get realy big trouble if the police see you driving without regestration.
