I’ve changed the water pump on my Renault engined 69 s2. I clearly got water into the bell housing as initially the starter motor was stuck… now freed up and works, about a glass of water dropped out and I’m left with an nasty squeak from the bell housing area. Any suggestions? I’ve not run it it as thought I’d test each before running. Can you lubricate through the hole in the top of the bell housing without getting oil onto the clutch plate??
Ideas welcomed

Sorry I'm not able to help with your water pump issues but I wanted to
:Welcome: genkisan!!!
Good luck!

Did you get coolant (antifreeze/water mix) or just water inside the bell housing?

Just water.
I guess ultimately as the water has now gone since I’ve started the engine up and the water exited out of the bottom of the housing is there anyway to lubricator inside whilst avoiding the clutch plate?

Can you give us more detail on what you mean by "nasty squeak from the bell housing area"? Possibly a recording? When does it make it? Does anything make it stop? Like pressing on the clutch?
