Title: '74 TCS Project FS on CL in SF
Post by: FourLoti on Sunday,May 12, 2024, 06:08:59 AM
Pretty optimistic asking price. And what's with the single carb conversion - was that ever a thing?

It looks like someone modified that intake to fit, you can see that the flanges were welded on.
I did read a write up online where someone fabricated a manifold like that and it supposedly worked ok.

Price seems pretty high!

If everything was there, it is worth about $10k IMHO.

All the normal things need replacing, paint, trim, etc.

Wrong instrument panel, small gauges and warning lamps for a '74. Maybe just wrong period - unless the idea was to not need to reach too far the cigarette lighter!

European LHD instrument panel without the sliders to open the heater vents. Normal 4 small gauges. 3 Smiths plus the Lucas Ammeter.

Thanks, learned something new! Did some research and now see that what I thought was a lighter is more likely a wiper switch with push to squirt function.

Still, there has to be a story here as the car has Federal side marker lights and a seat belt warning light on the console?

The one to the left of the radio cutout next to the light switch is the wash wipe switch, the one to the right is probably a lighter. My RHD TCS has this layout, but flipped because of this. The lighter isnt labelled but the wash wipe is.
