So I went out to my truck to go to work this morning, and found the front driver tire down at 10 Lb. pressure. That got me to thinking about battery operated air compressors.
Those of you who have one, what do you recommend?
(Turned out to be a screw in the tire.)

DeWalt.
Not the cheapest but will last longer.
-
I got a Goodyear branded one (don’t remember where). It came with a little (incandescent) light and a gauge. I’ve used it once without problems.

I have a bunch of Rigid Tools and batteries from Home Depot. Added their air compressor and am happy with the results. Home Depot offers a Life Time warranty on their Rigid products, including the batteries.
All the tool makers have one such as Makita, Milwaukee, DeWalt, tec.

Milwaukee makes a nice inflator. Just get one that matches whatever system you have already bought into.

That would be Bosch these days. So far very few have the option to be powered from the car battery. If this is to be a spare-eliminator (my car came without any of the spare system) I'd want it to work even if I had forgotten to charge its battery.

There are lots of 12v compressors on the market. True, not internal-battery powered, but you get long cords.

I have the Ryobi cordless compressor, mainly as John pointed out I have other Ryobi tools that use the same battery. But for spare replacement I’m going with a Slime kit.

I went with a 2000 watt dc power inverter . converts dc to ac and can run a refrigerator or a cheap a/c bicycle air pump.
its as good as a standby emergency unit as a generator. Its also easier to sell the wife on , lol . seriously I like its variety of
uses off a car battery. I have an ATD -5955.
