Title: 807 exhaust VS a S2

HI:
Now my concerns are the exhaust side of the 807.
I have a manifold and tail in great shape (4-2-1).
Has anyone used these on their 807 transplant.
Yes I know I could get a header.
The car isn't handy or I could go have a better look.
Cast isn't the easiest to modify but I can manage if I had an idea of needed to be done.
Thanks for any sage advice.

If I recall, with that particular cast manifold, the main area of consternation is the space available for the two downpipes.

Thanks for the replies.
I remember from my distant past reading about the 807 manifold I have.
The part that caught my attention was "which is difficult to modify because it is made of cast iron".
I was hoping to hear from someone who had tried as I can work with cast to steel pipe welding.
I have, waiting in the wings, a steel header plate crafted from the exhaust gasket as a template and flex stainless pipes going to a connector(4-1).
Artful yes, functional no.

After rereading the info that John posted I was wondering if the mod I show on the attached pic would suffice.
They mention that it is the "flange on the cast iron side" that causes the clearance issues.
My plan would be to cut off 1.5 in off the bottom and attach a flange or just weld a 4 to 2 connector in its place. 
Thoughts etc...
