Does anyone have a lead for bonnet/ trunk locks? I know RD has them but close to $300 cdn is a lot to pay to replace a lock that works but has some wear issues.

Check out this uk manufacturer. I think the parts are available through their distributors.

If you're happy enough with a used part, I replaced one of mine with the fuel flap lock from an Austin 1800 in a wreckers yard back in the day - same item.
If looking for a new part, Leyland / BMC parts dealers may be the go.

To add to Pfreen's link, the one you want is their "weathershield" version;

They were originally on the early Wolseley cars and BMC carried then on to the 1800 series as Gavin says. I'd guess SJS get them from Weston if you want new, but at least you've got a couple of original fitment clues for Ebay searches ?
