Title: sealing the VCG studs

Digging around...I know the standard practice is using the Seloc washers to seal under the nuts and plain washers for the valve cover...has anyone used dowty or one of the types here https://www.mcmaster.com/dowty-washers/ ???

Just spitballing.  Would hate to get to the finish line with the engine work in the queue...new head gasket, timing case, inlet cam seal, new VCG, etc...and have those flippin' selocs still weeping and letting the channels in the cover fill with oil weeping up through the stud holes...

I don’t know why they wouldn’t work. It shouldn’t surprise anybody that there have been improvements in hardware, or anything else matter, over last fifty years.

Thats what I used.
Don't know how effective they are yet though.
