Hi All,
Is there a valid reason why the arb is so low below the car?
Did any one shortened the vertical links to improve ground clearance?

I moved mine above the steering rack. People have shortened the links also.

Hi,
As a pure guess, perhaps it's the theoretical neutral point in the suspension movement but honestly I've no idea.
I modified the drop links to be adjustable ages ago and have been running with the bar just below the closing plate. I've also got slightly lowered suspension so if you did the same mod I would check that the increased angle doesn't distort the mounts on the dampers too much.
This is how mine looked when I first did it. Hard to tell from the photo, but it's fairly close to the plate.

Just below closing plate seem the best height. I will do that.

I had to lengthen the bars on mine as the anti-roll bar fouled the closing plate, I don't know if it makes much difference how high
or low it is.

Can anyone recommend a source or specific part that I could use to clamp a drop-link to the bushing on the sway bar? One of my drop-links was broken off where it's welded to the sleeve /bushing carrier at the top, and both of them are flattened at the lower end where the bar-bushings go.
So I would like to fabricate new drop links that I can adjust if needed to accommodate my newly lowered TC. Buying replacement links from RD is on the expensive side, for something I would plan to cut apart. I just need a source of some sort of clamp that will go around the hourglass bushings on the sway bar and can be threaded onto something like a 1/2 in. rod. I would love to have something that I can bolt together around the sway bar, rather than wrestle on from the ends like the originals.
Any suggestions for parts would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the TC is .700" I used these style and EMT tube welded to a flat plate on the bottom, EMT welded to a bolt and then a 1/2" rod end with mis alignment spacers for the upper mount. I have pic somewhere on here

I cut the top ends off, threaded the drop link, ( I think it is 7/16-20) and installed nylon race rod ends.
It is adjustable and I gained an inch of ground clearance.

Nice job Pfreen . Sometimes the simple things we miss, not knowing what's out there and why. seems like a good candidate for a sticky in the tech section.
