Hi,
I'm trying to bring a '72 Europa back to life and need the three tubular braces that mount against the back (engine side) of the firewall. The top, horizontal brace, has a small tank mounted to it (which I need also).
Thanks!
PS This is my first post on this forum, so forgive any errors.

I think you only need the tank if you are installing all the Federal Emissions bits - most people take them off. I'm in the UK so we never had the tank.

Just to be clear, there are five pieces of bracing overall. See photo. I may have the spare charcoal cannister and possibly some of the braces.

Good luck with getting those braces. Have you tried the usual suspects:

For more suppliers, this is a pretty decent list: http://www.lotuseuropa.org/LotusForum/index.php?topic=1389.0
Speaking for us all, I know we'd like to see pictures of your baby and your progress!! ;D

I have a spare fuel catch tank. I don't have the 3 braces against the firewall, but I do have the 2 braces that go from the rear wheel arch to the braces.
Please let me know if you are interested.
Regards,
Sherman

I'm thinking of reinstalling the federal bits; some (d)PO along the way just cut the vent lines to the fuel filler necks and never plugged them up...the PO complained of gas smell...no kidding; the damn tanks were just vented to the engine compartment. So...just spitballing; have the tank...need the two pieces that hold the tank in place and the canister (I just know they're not available as an OEM part...so will search around for a replacement if I go down this route when I get to replacing both gas tanks....).

Hi. Thanks for the quick response. I know most folks remove the tank. I am trying to bring the car back to its original condition.

I have the tank and the main bracket that hold the tank and is located behind the firewall. How about $80.00 plus shipping. I'm in Chicago so local pickup is available.
