Apologies for the dumb question but I cant figure out how to remove the rectangular ignition light from my tcs. It sits between the tach and speedo on the flimsy plastic binacle.
I need to possibly change the bulb but it does not come out from the rear as the other adjacent warning lights do.
-
The bulb holder is just stuck in the rectangular bezel. It is the same as the other bulb holders.
-
I wish it was just stuck, but it's not the same as the others.
-
The bulb holder just slides into the plastic “ignition” lamp that is in the binacle. I found that my car had two different styles of bulbs, and thus bulb holders, but the mechanics was the same.
Can you tell us in what way it’s not the same as the others?

With the suggestion it was stuck, I went and tried again and with a bit of persuasion it came out. It was a different bulb and bulb holder like BDA said.
I wonder if this blown bulb is the cause of my alternator not charging the battery, I dont have a spare bulb so will have to wait till I can find out.
-
I doubt it but you could see if there is another similar bulb and put that bulb in the ignition bulb holder to see if that makes any difference.

Or you can test it with an ohm meter, if you have one.
Btw, be sure to replace it with a similar wattage bulb.
