The 30 mile range was with lead acid batteries.  Once the new owner installs some lithium batteries it will go much further I'm sure.  If I was considering buying it I would want to check the specs of the motor and controller to be sure the quoted 70 mph top speed was also a limitation of the batteries.

Hmmm, I googled the controller and found the manual

https://www.cloudelectric.com/v/vspfiles/files/Manuals/1209.pdf

Maximum voltage is 144 volts. Peak current (2 mins) is 500 amps (72kW or 96hp).  Sustained maximum current (1 hour) is 225 amps (32.4kW or 43hp) .  The motor is listed here

https://www.electriccarpartscompany.com/impulse-9-ev-dc-motor

Maximum continous power for that motor is listed at 30hp.  So 70mph may be all it'll do without a better motor and/or controller.

I know electric HP is different but that's about all I know about electric vehicles.  Sounds under specced to me.

Looks  like it still has a real transmission, so restorable to original.

Love it! A Tesla with a big, filthy v-8 on carbs. If I had the money, I'd have to do it.
