Clearly not a 1973. At most, a 1971, but could just be a titling issue.
-
They all seem to have titling issues when it comes to year

Brand New 1972 Fed S2s were still being sold U.S. showrooms when the TC came out an April of 1972. Those S2s were a tough sell compared to newly introduced TC. I'm sure more than a few sat on the lot for six months or more and titled as 1973s.

She needs a lot of love. Interested to see what the reserve is. Any idea of location? (I could not see location.)

Located in Milton, Delaware. And agreed, much love needed to put this one right. A seller without answers to the many questions, and probably lots of small bits missing. The engine is an unknown, and a dire looking one at that. Nonetheless, if the price is right, it's a project for the right person.

I have to be glad it is so far away.
In some ways more complete than my own car.
The Alfa engine is an interesting choice although getting to the front for service is going to be a PITA.
It's mechanically fuel injected with a SPICA system so no pesky computer required.
1750 or 2000 cc Alfa engine will move the Lotus very well.
But if I had this car I would put a Renault back into it.
