A 1967 Sunbeam Tiger 1A. I am going to do a complete restoration.
-
That's a beautiful Tiger! Does it really need a restoration?!
-
Yes. It does not have rust, which is rare and the engine seems to run ok. I get the tag tomorrow so I can drive it and really find out what working. I just drove it around a parking lot before I bought it. Everything else has to be gone through. The car has no history, so I am going to rebuild everything to concours. For that, I need to do the certified treatment. However, the tiger is a unibody, so no taking the body off the frame.
It keeps me out of trouble.

Nice addition pfreen! Wish l lived around the corner, now that I’m retired I’d have plenty of time to help work on your new project. I like your yard sign :beerchug:

That will be a fun project. Looks narrower than the Europa. My wife always talks about how small my Europa is but it's actually larger than my MGB, maybe a little lower.

Great pair of cars and a sign of hope.

What a beautiful Sunbeam! :pirate:
(I have no opinion on the sign)

260 or 289 cu in?
How much rust (looks like zero).
They sound lovely just purring away.
As Tony says, they're grrrrreatttt.

It's a 260. It does sound great. There is no apparent rust. I will find out for sure when I scrape all the undercoat off. The place where I bought it had a lift so I got to get a good look. I have a lift as well. I just got the title and tag so I will drive it today to see what elseI need to focus on. The engine seems to run pretty well.
I did find yesterday that the left front fender had been hit. I found it by noticing the tire to fender clearance was 3/4" smaller on the left side. Hopefully when all the filler is removed, it will not be too bad.
