My guess is the gear selection is a linkage problem. Probably the front of gearbox left side mid shaft connection, joints need attention.

Unusual colour.

The #4405 is a latest model with the engine cover struts the cloth inserts (colour changed) and the centre map pocket between the seats.

There are not many later ones out there. I have 4259, 4483, and 4688 which are all the latest models.
