I bought Barum Brillantus 2 from Discount Tire Online. (2) 185x70x13 and (3) 175x70x13 and free shipping. I don't know if they will ship to Canada. 888-774-6560. Good luck.
-
i tried online either they don’t ship or the shipping price is way up there
152 us for shipping
i found canadian tire distributor but the size i need ar backorder till mid september
that’s why i was asking if 185/ 60r13 would fit
-
It’s important that tired are true and round. Even a little bit out and balancing will become a nightmare. I have had good luck with Michelin Defenders and Toyo Extensa. The Toyos come in both 185/70-13 and 175/70-13.

Try pmctire.com - they do free shipping on 4 tires or more within Canada.

gideon i just took a look they have what i wanted at first
but before ordering im gonna call them to make sure they have them in stock
i called pneu à rabais they had a lot listed but when i called they said backorder till mid september
thanks

JB i need your advice again!
should i put 175/70r13 all around or
185/70r13 back and 175/70r13 front
my car is a s2 federal 1970
thanks again

Does Tire Rack ship to Canada? You can ship them to an installer of your choice.

This is an S2, right?
If so, same size of tire on all four corners.
Due to it’s heavier rear bias, a TC/S benefits from having a larger rear tire. Typically it’s 175/70 up front and 185/70 at the rear. Though TCs on steel wheels got 175s all round (I think).

Absolutely.
Back in the late 70's I purchased a set of Minilites from another Europa owner; partly because they were the genuine article and partly because they came with new Avon 165/60 tyres which were well regarded.
At the time, 60 aspect ratio was super low, though the diameter was smaller than stock.
The performance and grip was fantastic.
As time went by, the car developed a vibration in the rear.
I chased that vibration around for ages - balanced & swapped wheels, checked wheel centering, half-shaft balance, brake drum balance, engine & gearbox mounts . . everything.
It turns out that an 'out of roundness' had been developing.
At the first wheel swap, the problem went away but in the end, they all developed the same out of round issue - some later than others.

just called pcm tires they said 175/70r13 it’s not a popular size could take three weeks before they can get them so now my only option would be 185/60r13 falken ze914 not
sure if i should just wait it out or go with 185/60r13
need advice

185/60s should fit. You have to check though. Every Europa is slightly different. What works on one may not on another. The issue is tire interference with the front fender lip when you hit a bump, or uneven section, while the steering is turned. Typically when turning into a driveway, etc. A little bit of rubbing is not unusual but too much has been known to rip off sections of the fender!
-
thanks again JB i think im gonna get the 185/60r13
i have 185/70r13 so according to tire comparisons the new tires are 1.5 inch lower
but then again im supposed to have 175/70r13 so .75 lower than original
-
I think it will depend on your wheels' offset. 185x70 fit on the rear of my S2 but not on the front.
-
i have an s2 federal and it has 185/70r13 it rubs just a bit at full lock on passenger side but not driver side i also noticed some play in my rack and pinion the bushing on passenger side was worn im in the process of changing it could be the cause of rubbing
also i continued searching for tires
and found a place in long beach california that as
pirelli centurato they said they have them in stock
3 to 5 days shipping
delivered at my door 730 us so 961 canadian plus duty
so now i got to decide what to get
-
Some of the reissue tires are crap. I can’t comment on the Pirellis but the Michelin XAS tires I ordered in were hideously expensive and literally the worst tires I have seen in 35 years of wrenching. Way, way out of round, and not true either. They were just scrap so I flogged them off for $50 each with an explanation of how bad they were.
-
i just went to the tire shop there’s a 3 inch difference between my tyres and the ones he showed me they are tiny the guy suggested i get 175/70r13
and if reissue are bad im not gonna waste money on them

I was running 185/70 13's when I first put my car on the road but had rubbing issues at the front. One reason was the wheel offset, but the other issue was the overall diameter as it rubbed on the toe board. I've since switched to 185/60's, but it reduced the ground clearance and has increased rpm at speed (smaller diameter). If I were to do it again, I would go for 175/70's in the front and 185/70's in the rear (S2 with a Zetec so a bit more weight in the back).

i really like the falkens 185/60r13 i know it will fit i compared the size to my 185/70r13 so
when you look at both of them side by side it is a huge difference i should have brought my spare witch is 175/70r13 maybe it would have made the falken look like a better fit
i can always go back with my spare to compare
