Sorry for the lack of post,wil add pictures and informations soon!
2 questions for you guys
How do I install the rubber seals for the doors? Do I simply press the rubber chanel in to the edges of the body or do I need to glue the seals ? And also in the lower part do they come over the carpets?
Second questtion:
Any idea on the thikness of the headliner material?
Can't find something as thick as the original one...
All I can find is 3 mm thick material.... any suggestions?

My door seals just pushed on. No glue required. As for headliner material, I just took what my interior shop gave me. I know there are fancy patterns you can get but I don't know about thickness.

Rubber seals for the doors just push on. I bought some headliner material for my S2, it's about 3mm thick with a foam backing. I put some heat and sound insulation under it.

I also used 3mm foam backed headliner for my car and one without a pattern on the face. That was because I just knew that if I'd picked something with a directional pattern I'd get it wrong at some point ! It took a long time to remove all the scraps from the old one, but with such a thin foam backing I think it's worthwhile.
You could always buy some 3mm foam and use it as a base layer if you want a more heavily padded look ?

Did you use anything underneath the 3mm material?
I can source that easy but tought its to thin and will look rong..
That would save me a lot of trouble if I can use 3mm ànd get a clean result!

I didn't, I just used the plain 3mm but.... I did spend a lot of time going over the fibreglass to remove all traces of old glue beforehand and even used thinners to get off any small traces. The surface was smooth to touch although of course there's slight undulations but it's basically smooth.
It's a while ago now but I think the original was probably thicker, probably 1/4" back in the 70s. You could recreate this because you can buy 3mm foam and make up a sandwich using a thin layer of spray adhesive but I didn't bother.
