I am ready to put the stub axle into the upright. Does it need to be pressed in place or will the nut draw it in enough?
Thank you
-
It shouldn't need to be pressed. You'll want to use a hardened spacer between the bearings in the hub and the correct Loktite on your splines for the hub (635).

Front or rear?
-
It shouldn’t be a throw fit though.

I haven't done it yet as I'm waiting for Ray at RD to have the stub axle fingers for the TC re manufactured. According to Ray they should be ready in about 2 weeks. I copied the tool that Certified shows on his thread (page 40). It was easy to make and should work well. Serge's youtube video series also has an episode where he shows how he did it.

Your correct Sherman, I have been waiting for Dave bean for months now on the flingers. My parts manual is seriously pixelated and I cannot even verify it belongs in an S2. Am been holding up that part of my build.

I'm sorry, I forget to mention it is the front stub axle I am ready to install. It says press it is a fit but it looks like the nut may be able to draw it in.

It’s a taper fit IIRC. It also helps hold on the steering arm. Make sure you use the spacing washer.
-
Thank you. That's what I was hoping to hear.

Torque setting is in the manual.
