Has a feature article on Europa’s.

I haven't found a copy of Absolutely Lotus yet. I'll pick one up if I find one, especially if it is the Europa issue.

The magazines are actually a great read: lots of "vintage" content and very well designed.
Regarding the Europa article there is one confusing passage and not the author's fault. Way back in the day, some magazines referred tom the twin cam as the Europa series 2. It makes senses in the UK as they didn't get the S1. But it leads to confusion such as front signal warts being said to have appeared part-way through series 1 production. Well, if you think of the S2 as the "first series available in the UK", it is accurate.

I agree with you JB,
It would make more sense if the articles were written listing the cars in a chronological order and acknowledging that the S1 existed (even if it was not available in the UK)
Good magazine though, I found a copy in a local service station at the weekend and whilst there's nothing in the article that I haven't already read before, any magazine with a feature on the Europa is too good an opportunity to miss!

I've a subscription of the 'Absolute Lotus' magazine and it was a pleasant surprise when the latest issue arrived with the Europa cover story. Five variants of the Europa are presented (S1, S2, S2 Else, Twin Cam and TC Special) and compared to each other. Worthy winner is the S2 followed by S1, TC, TCS and S2 Else.
I think it is well written and a nice read. I stumbled across the same issue concerning the wart indicators being introduced during S1 but I though the author may have confused it with the Lucas tail lights being introduced with the S1B.
For me as an S1 addicted Europa owner it's good to see that the S1 receives the recognition it deserves in my eyes. The whole editorial discusses the interior and bulkhead design of the S1. Another surprise are the given values where the S1 is listed as the most expensive one:
S1 35,000 GBP
S2 22,000 GBP
Twin Cam 27,000 GBP
TC Special 30,000 GBP
I'm not sure if these are realistic values but at least it reflects the fact that the early Europas are the more collectable ones.

I was at that photo shoot and my car is featured on the cover and inside. A great day

The prices are accurate if the car is completely stock, mint condition, RHD (except for the S1), for sale in the UK and, you are prepared to wait a long time to get your price.
