Post by: jbcollier on Friday,June 14, 2019, 08:01:06 PM
Found an S1 service book in mint, unused condition:

It came with a mint S1 owners manual, mint Lotus Nowich guarantee certificate and Renault warranty registration card.  All for $40.

I have made an appointment with my proctologist to check to see if there are any horse-shoes up my ass…

Wow. That is an amazing find.

A Warranty certificate recently sold on UK Ebay for more than what you've paid for the whole package and used service books which are usually in tatty condition go for much, much more.

Great find.

Brian

(is the warranty certificate still valid ?  :)  )

All S1s only had French.  The owners manual, service book and dash lettering were all in French.  Only the parts book had English.

UK English has words like colour and centre spelt from their French origin. We were invaded by the French in 1066, and a lot of words come from that origin.

Does Canada follow suit, or follow the US spelling.

Both are used with US-isms slowly gaining in influence.
