Title: GEELY looking to build Lotus Cars in China

Just came out yesterday from Reuters.  Looks like in the attempt to expand the Lotus brand GEELY is opening a new factory in China.  Reuters speculates it may be used initially to produce an SUV as they were looking to emulate Porsche's success with their SUVs in China...

Interesting! I understand that China is very intrusive with respect to technology secrets. On that basis, I would look elsewhere such as South Korea, but it certainly suggests a jump in production and maybe higher profit margins - something Lotus could certainly benefit from.

There is a sentence there that ends with " … and Lotus once boasted a Formula 1 team." A bit of an understatement, I thought.
