Just a quick hello from a new member. :newhere:
I,m looking for a twin cam project for historic racing. I.d like RHD and V5c if possible. Does anyone know of an abandoned project maybe?
I'm in Sudbury Suffolk UK btw.

:Welcome: RobynS!
I wish I could help you with your search. You might check with our own 4129R. He's been restoring TCs for a while and might be able to help.
When you find one, don't forget to posts lots of pictures of it and it's metamorphosis!

All my 7 will be pristine when finished, but if you buy a project in need of plenty from the USA, I can help you with knowledge on how to import, how to change to RHD, and how to do everything.
I have a few specialist tools, and a few spares that might come in useful.
I am in NR20 5SF, so not far away from you.
Alex in Norfolk.

Do a search for Kurt Tanner Motorcars in California. He has a 1974 TCS project for $6950.

:Welcome: Robyn’s
Is this search for some historical society or yourself ?
There are many members here who have a wealth of racing history. It’s sad the the Lotus racing team
Is no longer active.

Thanks for your replies. Has anyone dealt with Kurt Tanner? or imported a car to UK.
What are the things to lookout for when importing?

Make sure you get the title document.
Make sure the car rolls, and does not come on 4 flat tyres, or with siezed brakes.
Make sure everything is there, no missing gearbox, steering wheel, engine, seats or spare wheel.
Expect to have to renew the wiring loom, everything rubber, expect holes in the tops of the fuel tanks, expect the exhaust system to be stuffed, the seats to be siezed in their runners, and the door hinges to need replacingand probably the brake and accelerator pedals to be rusted solid.
Try to make sure the engine turns and is not siezed.
The windscreen will leak and the wooden dashboard will be falling apart.

Thanks for that. You've described the car perfectly!!! I,m going to ask some questions.
